A solenoid valve is an electromagnetically controlled industrial device used in industrial control systems to regulate the direction, flow rate, speed, and other parameters of a medium. Solenoid valves are controlled by electromagnetic effects, with relay control as the main control method. This allows solenoid valves to be used with different circuits to achieve the desired control, ensuring accuracy and flexibility. Four types of high-speed rail-specific valves developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation passed the review of Beijing Said High-Speed Railway Electrical Technology Co., Ltd., achieving a high score of 97.3. To date, the technical level of solenoid valves and pressure-reducing valves developed for high-speed trains has reached the level of similar foreign products. The solenoid valve developed by Factory 695 for high-speed trains is the first two-position three-way solenoid valve with a clapping mechanism, featuring several technological innovations.

Technically, the traditional process of hot-pressing fluoroplastics onto the metal pads of imported products has been changed, and rubber materials are used for sealing, completely eliminating the leakage range of imported products in terms of airtightness; the structure of the main valve and auxiliary valve has been improved to reduce response time and increase the response speed of the solenoid valve.

Furthermore, based on previous repair experience with solenoid valves assembled by Alstom in France on domestic high-speed trains, the project team independently increased the working air gap of the new solenoid valves. This eliminates the need for on-site repairs of the solenoid valves, allowing for adjustments to the working air gap on the locomotive only, saving time and significantly reducing maintenance costs. The solenoid valves and pressure reducing valves developed for high-speed trains have the potential to replace imported products. Simultaneously, the development, manufacturing, and testing capabilities for valves配套的阀 (matching high-speed trains) were also tested.
